I recognized that I could watch learning videos from YouTube, so this post is about videos, and what I learned from them. I chose mostly business English videos because it’s important for me. Also, I wanted to choose couple grammar videos because grammar it’s my weakness. I wanted to learn this way because I have recognized that I learn better when someone teach me, and I can listen. On the other hand, I think that also writing notes and doing exercises helps me develop.
In the first video I learned many new phrases that I can use in the business world. There were many phrases that I already knew but also there was couple new one. Example like “Roll out a new product”. I used this phrase couple time in DIY group so now I remember it. Second video was business conversation video. We listened to different topics and after that we tried to spoke about topic with my friend. Topics were example discussing about a project, discussing budgets and introducing a friend. It was nice to notice that listening discussion helped our conversation and gave couple new good phrases to use. Overall, this video was really good way to learn about conversations and vocabulary. Also, I think that this is good way to learn to speak more fluent English.
Third video was grammar video. I wanted to choose at least one grammar video because I need to develop it. My English grammar is not bad, but it is not so good. Example, Sometimes I make stupid mistakes in tenses or prepositions. In the video women showed and teach basic English grammar things. In my opinion that video was so good because I learnt couple new things and noticed where I made most of my mistakes. Now I can focus my weak areas in the English grammar to develop them.
Last but not least I wanted to choose English vocabulary video about stocks and markets. I wanted to choose this video because this way I can learn two things same time, Finance and English. In the video man explained various concepts related to stocks and finance. I already knew almost all of them but there was couple new for me example, blue chip stocks and IPO. Overall, I was happy that I watched this video because it was educational and interesting to watch.
In my opinion this way to learn English was so good! This way you learn listening and reading very good. Also, if you study with your friend, you can speak together and learn speaking too! Sometimes it was hard to focus enough but it is not so big problem because you can watch those videos whenever you want all over again. I definitely will use this method in the future.
